Our CEO and Co-founder, Carsten Brinkschulte, recently featured on Terraformation's 'Who Will Speak for the Trees?' series.

In his article, he discusses the concept of the "Internet of Trees" to prevent wildfires through early detection using sensors. These sensors, placed below tree canopies, can quickly detect fires by identifying specific gas compounds, allowing for faster response times compared to traditional methods like cameras and satellites.

The post highlights the need for a new, low-cost communications network within forests, termed the "Internet of Trees," to enable this technology. Additionally, it suggests that such a network could enable a range of applications, like monitoring forest health and detecting illegal logging, transforming forest management and protection.
